Liability Facts: 30 year old female Plaintiff was
driver of vehicle struck in intersection by
Defendant driver making an improper left turn.
Plaintiff was 20 weeks pregnant at time of collision
and was transported from scene to Northlake Regional
Medical Center emergency room complaining of
abdominal pain caused by the seat belt. She was
admitted overnight for observation and treatment of
premature labor contractions and released the next
morning. Ten days later she presented to a
chiropractor’s office complaining of neck and low
back pain and received chiropractic care for soft
tissue injuries for approximately 7 months.
Plaintiff delivered a healthy baby full term with no
complications.

lumbar strain.
